I have to start my list with Jodhpur because the architectural beauty of Rajasthan and the rich heritage associated with the place always gives be goosebumps.The Blue city of Jodhpur welcomes you with a pleasant weather in October when it is not too humid, neither too cool. When in Jodhpur, do visit the Mehrangarh Fort.Also, the Rajasthan International Folk Festival is organized in the month of October which is a perfect amalgamation of culture and art.
Udaipur
I have a soft corner for Udaipur and have personally visited the place twice.October is one of the best times of the year to enjoy the natural beauty and architecture of the city of Lakes, to the core.Do check out the Lake Pichola and Fateh sagar, City Palace is a must visit and for a dash of Luxury, visit the Udai Vilas palace, by the Oberoi group of hotels..It is jaw dropping!!
Kasauli
Shimla is too busy a hill station, a couple of hours before Shimla lies the beautiful Kasauli.The place is relatively less crowded and serene.Book a nice resort for yourself where you can enjoy some good indoor activities, spa, live music etc.Do check out the Manki point, Sunset point and Mall road at Kasauli for budget buys.October seems to be a good time to visit before the full on Winter sets in.
Nainital
Nainital is a small hill station in Uttarakhand that offers a delightful, natural scenery.Visit the place for beautiful sunsets, Lakes and of course, the beauty of hills.There are many restaurants serving a lot of cuisines and mall road offers to be a great place to shop for local handicrafts and beautiful candles.
