How to make ubtan at home? Easy & simple step by step guide

Ubtan is one of the most common home remedies for glowing skin and controlling acne. It is an age-old practice that works like wonders. Recently, in an interview actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas shared that she too puts Ubtan on her face to maintain the good health and glow of her face. So, if you are someone who have not heard about Ubtan or have heard about it but don’t know how to make it at home then this post is surely going to help you. Market is full of Ubtan based cosmetics and skin care products but making ubtan at home is such an easy thing that you will never ever think of buying an Ubtan product from the market ever again. Using Ubtan regularly can control oiliness on your face, deep cleanse your face, keep it hydrated, control acne and provides natural glow.

Steps to make ubtan at home:

Simple Ubtan face pack:

If you want to use Ubtan face pack regularly, like once in two days or thrice a week, then simply take 2 spoons of besan (gram flour/chickpea flour), ½ spoor turmeric powder and 3 spoons of milk. Mix everything together to form a thick paste. Now apply it on your face till it dries up and wash it off.

This was the easiest way to make Ubtan. Now, if you are looking for an advance and more effective version of Ubtan then you can also add sandalwood powder in it as well.

During the summers, you can replace milk with curd. Do not use curd in winter as it is cold and might make you catch cold.

It takes about 15-20 minutes to dry up. After washing it off, do not use any soap on your face for at least 4-5 hours.

Ubtan Scrub:

Ubtan scrub is yet another amazing way to cleanse and exfoliate your face. Ubtan scrub removes dead skin, blackheads, whiteheads and cleanses the open pores.

All you need is 1 tbsp oatmeal, 3 tbsp besan, ½ turmeric powder, 2 tbsp sandalwood powder and 2 tbsp cucumber paste. Mix everything together to form a scrub. Apply in bits on your face and scrub it in round motion gently. If you feel too dry, then add ½ tbsp milk to it. Scrub for 5-10 mins and wash it off.

Again, make sure you don’t apply soap or face wash after this for at least 4-5 hours. While you can use ubtan face pack regularly, like twice a day or thrice a week but it is advised that you use the Ubtan scrub once or max twice a week.

These are my go-to options of using Ubtan at home. You must try it once and notice the difference. Yes, you will notice the difference right after first usage. I don’t like using face scrubs and face packs available in the market. Once you will start using this at home, you will also ditch the processed skin care products available in the market.

Hope this helps!
