I happened to visit Bengaluru a couple of days back to meet by sister and to attend some business engagements. We decided to stay at the the IBIS hotel located at City centre Bengaluru as my previous experiences with the IBIS group have been great. This hotel happens to be one of the best places in Bangalore to stay. It is located at a small distance of barely 500 Meters from the local bus stand. It lies in very close proximity to the UB city and Cubbon park. Other landmarks of the Bengaluru city, including: Chinnaswamy stadium, Brigade Road, MG Road, Vidhana Soudha, The M.G Road Metro Metro Station, the Cantonment Railway Station and Bangalore City Railway Station. The Kempegowda International Airport is 36.5 km away.

IBIS Hotel City Centre – Bangalore / Bengaluru
The hotel building stands tall overlooking the Central Business District of the city. IBIS has modern interiors and offers everything from an in-house restaurant, rooftop bar and rooms with all essential amenities and stunning views of the city. The lobby is spacious and welcoming zone. The staff at the reception treats you warmly and are quick to respond to requests and complains.

There is a gym cum fitness centre in the hotel where guests can work out for free. The rooms are all soundproof and air-conditioned.

You can expect neat interiors with a very comfortable bed, workstation, a spacious wardrobe and an attached bathroom. Electric kettle, microwave are also provided in case you want to heat up some food or brew yourself a cup of coffee or tea. The bathroom is small but functional enough. You would not feel stuffed in. Basic guest amenities like: clean drinking water bottles, toiletries, milk powder, coffee powder, tea bags etc. are provided on a complimentary basis. In each of the rooms, flat-screen TV, a mini refrigerator have been installed, as well.

I would love to mention that we were surprised with a personalized welcome card along with two local delicacies of Bangalore, the Mysore Pak and Chikki in our room.

Food is available around the clock. Guests can enjoy a sumptuous, complimentary breakfast buffet at the restaurant. The breakfast buffet offers a lots of variety. You can sip on fresh fruit juices, shakes, tea, coffee and milk shakes. I really liked the way they served Chai in Kulhads on a cart. Beautiful mason jars containing various types of cookies and biscuits were a sight to enjoy. It gave the feeling of enjoying piping hot tea at a Tapri. There were variety of breads to choose from along with puris and Paranthas. They has laid out fresh, seasonal fruits and cooling vegetables in a very pleasant manner. You could have Dosas and eggs made to order. I really enjoyed their breakfast buffet as there was so much to try and relish.

They believe in serving a wholesome breakfast that includes, all seven of the following and they call this as Satvik food.

- Breads/ Double Roti
- Eggs
- South Indian delicacies like Dosa, Idlis etc.
- Milk
- Pooris/ Paranthas
- Fruits and veggies assorted
- Tea

The breakfast timings are from the wee hours of the morning, that is 4.30 AM to 12 noon.Apart from breakfast buffet, they have a restaurant called “ Spice it “ that offers tasty multi-cuisine using fresh local produce.

To wrap up my review, I would love to mention that my stay at the IBIS City centre Bengaluru was very pleasant, comfortable and filled with tasty food!
