ZEE5 has come up with their very own exciting and interesting game format on their short video platform HiPi called HiPi Premier League. It went live on 19th September and almost all content creators have gone crazy, as this platform has given them a chance to celebrate their favourite sport along with their audience in a very unique manner. HPL is divided into 8 teams and their captains are all very well-known influencers and celebrities. Some of the famous captains include Sanket Bhosle, Ssumier Pasricha, Sugandha Mishra, Gaurav Gera, and many more.

What is this league all about?
They all compete within the HiPi platform to become the ultimate champion of the game and they have to create some interesting short videos to keep their audience entertained and engaged with the content they create. The various teams have been named as Hyderabad Hippers, Mumbai Mastis, Delhi Dhoomers, Rajasthan Rockstars, Punjab Putters, Chennai Swaggers, Bangalore Badshahs, and Kolkata Khiladis in the tournament. These names are actually based on the original regions and names of the teams that play in the IPL. More and more people are becoming a part of HPL to join their team captains and create amazing video content.
Why is this league created?
ZEE5 has one major aim to become a one stop destination for all the entertainment that an individual is looking for. This is why they are diversifying their interface with the help of HiPi by providing a platform to content creators to create content for their audience and win a fandom status for themselves with their style and craft. Cricket has been indulged here because for people in India, cricket is not just a sport, it is an emotion and a sentiment.
HPL is basically going to redefine the experience people have while watching a T20 tournament. Sugandha Mishra as one of the captains said that “lockdown has resulted in people wanting to get every opportunity to engage in entertainment, specially cricket, because they are not being able to attend live matches”. She is my favourite and I support her team Punjab Kings.

My HPL Experience!
I have participated in various polls, challenges, trivia, and also quizzes which was really fun. Sugandha Mishra’s enthusiasm rubbed over me, and I have cheered my team Punjab Kings to the fullest. I created few videos which garnered decent amount of likes and ultimately was able to contribute to my team’s score.
