Translated into English as “The Fallen Woman”, La Traviata is inspired by Alexandre Dumas’ famous novel “La Dame aux Camélias”. The opera features three acts and was played for the first time in Venice in 1853. Since then, the numerous adaptations of this touching and riveting story have astonished appreciative audiences from all over the world. Directed by the esteemed Richard Eyre, this new opera production stays true to Verdi’s great legacy!
