Everybody likes eating out on weekends and not having to go through the entire laborious process of cooking and preparing a meal.I find taking a break from routine, very essential.I and my husband have made it a point to go out, each Saturday for an outing plus dinner.With a kid, it is quite important to change the environment in order to make your little one more aware and active.The weekend gone by, we decided to go to a restaurant called Zaffran, located in Ashok Nagar in Kanpur.This place offers North Indian, Continental and Asian cuisine.
Zaffran – A Perfect Place In Kanpur For A Royal Dinning
This restaurant is located right on the main road.There is sufficient space for parking along the roadside.The Zaffran restaurant’s ambience, lighting and music along with the interiors of the place are warm and cozy to dine in.They have a banquet hall for conducting parties, functions etc.Apart from the dining in, there is a rooftop lounge also. We ordered Veg Galawati kebab and Cheese Delight Roll, in starters.Both were delicious and the presentation of the snacks was nice,too. For main course, I and my husband offered, main course ordered Paneer Khurchan and Garlic naan.For our little one, we ordered french fries and Butterscotch ice cream. The main course was served hot and nice. From a few other friends who have visited the place earlier, I heard Brownie and the High Tea menu offered by this place are worth a shot.
The staff is nice and courteous and the service was quick.The waiters serve each and everything with a lot of care and with a smile on their face.We did not have to wait for a very long time for our food. I feel the need to mention that the average cost for two people shall be INR 1200.Though, we ordered Vegetarian food, they serve some mouth-watering Non-Veg food, as well.To name a few specialties: Zaffran’s special chicken.Other speciaities include: Chicken tikka, Chicken Kadhai, zaffran special curd chicken. The special dishes in the Vegetarian menu include: Punjabi kofta,Chicken Bharta,Zaffrani Paneer, Paneer do pyaza. Among breads, the Garlic Naan is really tasty.Those who like drinks can privately enjoy some drinks at their rooftop lounge-bar known as Liquid.
We find the place worth giving a visit and we are planning to go there soon and try out some other dishes, as well.
