Wooden furniture appears superior to any other type of furniture because it gives a hint of extravagance. Also, wooden furniture last really long, provided they are taken care of. But, wooden statues, pots, showpieces, utensils too can have scratches and can make them look unattractive. It repeatedly requires an expert to repair it especially if the scratches are deep and severe. You definitely wouldn’t want to spend on professional help for minor scratches. So, here I have some DIY methods to repair minor wooden scratches:
DIY WOOD SCRATCH REPAIR

Olive oil+ Coffee
Take some warm olive oil and add in instant coffee powder in a bowl. Let it settle for 30 minutes and then stir. Take a cotton fabric and dip a tiny section into the coffee oil and use it to buff the scratches on the wood. This technique can be used for wood that is dark brown in color.
Apple cider vinegar+ Olive oil
In a bowl, take 1 cup of olive oil and ½ cup of apple cider vinegar. Mix it well and dip a tiny section of cotton fabric or rag into the oil-apple cider vinegar mixture and use it to buff the scratches. You may also use canola oil instead of olive oil.
Petroleum jelly
Smear petroleum jelly over a scratch and leave it overnight. It might aid the adjoining wood to plump up and fill in the scratch. Wipe away in the morning and polish the surface.
Face cream
this trick could work, if the scratches are very negligible. Take some thick face cream on a buffing cloth or wash cloth and buff it onto the scratches. Wipe off the excess.
Properly maintaining leather furniture keeps it more durable, preventing scratches from occurring in the first place. Keep the furniture out of direct sunlight and well away from any direct heat sources, such as vents and radiators.
