I am a travel freak and a foodie as well. I love trying out regional cuisines. A vacation gives me the much needed break. Recently, I along with my family members took a break to Nainital. And, yes there was a special occasion as well – it was my father-in-law’s birthday on 23rd November. We wanted to dine together in a special restaurant in Nainital that has scored a good rating in food, service and ambiance.
Giannis – Best Vegetarian Restaurant in Nainital

After a lot of internet search and review from the localities, we decided to visit Gianni’s which is said to be the best vegetarian restaurant in Nainital. Gianni is located in Mall road which is one of the most popular areas in Nainital. If you have dream of dining with a lake view, this restaurant is just perfect. The ambiance is too classy for any tourists to miss this place.
We were welcomed by the professionals and were made comfortable in the place.  We definitely didn’t want to experiment with the food, hence thought of asking for the signature dishes. The Manager helped us out and we ordered Tandoori Paneer Tikka Pizza, Paneer Tikka Masala, Paneer Kalimirch, Stuffed Dum Aloo, Garlic Naan and Aloo Kulcha.  We also ordered for Pahadi Raita which wasn’t mentioned in the menu.
We were glad that we didn’t have to wait for the food as it was served within 15-20 minutes. The Paneer tikka pizza was too delicious and we couldn’t refrain from ordering a second one. The prices were very reasonable for a common man to afford. The service was very quick and we were given complete attention till we left the place.  The entire menu was tempting, right from the starters till the deserts.
If you ever happen to be in Nainital and are worried about food, visit Giannis without any second thoughts. You are sure to never regret about it.
