Ingredients

Boiled Potatoes – 4 big

Salt as per taste

Cumin seeds (jeera) – 1tsp

Asafetida-1 pinch

Green chilies-1or2

Turmeric powder-1/2tsp

Ginger garlic paste-1tsp

Coriander leaves

Lemon juice-1tsp

Garam masala-1/4tsp

Dry mango powder-1/2 tsp

Black pepper-1/2tsp

Chili’s flakes more than -1/2tsp

Coriander powder -1tsp

Dry fenugreek-2tsp

Oil-2tbsp

How to make homestyle Jeera Aloo

First of all, chop the boiled potatoes then heat a pan and pour the cooking oil in it, tastes awesome with mustard oil or sunflower refind oil. Once the oil is heated then add cumin seeds, asafetida and green chili and fry it for a few seconds. Then add chopped boiled potatoes. Add ½ tsp of turmeric powder, 1tsp coriander powder and add salt as per taste. Then mix it well. Add 1/2tsp of chilies flakes, add coriander leaves, 1tsp of lemon juice or dry mango powder, add garam masala or 1/2tsp of black pepper, and fry it for sometime by which it will be crispy. Add dry fenugreek (kasuri methi).  And take it out on a serving plate.
